Jaxon is becoming the master of stalling. Especially at bedtime. Our nightly conversation as I head out his bedroom door...
Jaxon: "Mommy"
Me: "Yes sweetie?"
Jaxon: "You know what?"
Me: "What?"
(long pause while he thinks up something to tell me)
My response:"Ok sweetie, now go to sleep." (I head for the door)
Jaxon: "Mommy"
Me: "Yes sweetie?"
Jaxon: "You know what?"
Me: "What?"
(long pause while he thinks up something else to tell me)
My response:"Ok sweetie, now go to sleep." (I head for the door again)
Lather, rinse, repeat as needed to delay bedtime for another 5-10 minutes.
And repeat whole scenario at daycare when dropping him off in the morning.
I am getting some good practice in for becoming more patient though!

What a smartie! Julia's a good staller, too. Her phrase of choice is, "Okay, Mom. After I finish this..."
